WHAT IS AN IME?
An Independent Medical Examination (IME) is an objective evaluation performed by a physician who is not involved in your ongoing treatment. Dr. Idema does not manage, direct, or coordinate your care — her role is to conduct a thorough, objective examination and report her findings.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

Simple and Organized

Step 1. Your examination is scheduled through your attorney, employer, or insurance carrier.


Step 2. You attend the examination at the scheduled time, in-person or virtually.


Step 3. Dr. Idema conducts a thorough orthopedic evaluation based on your medical history and current condition.


Step 4. A written report is prepared and sent to the party who requested the examination.

GPlease bring a photo ID and any imaging, records, or medical documentation you have not already submitted through the referring party.
